So...Tewi finds Nitori's computer and throwns the hard drive at her. Nitori has a bump, but goes to retrieve the hard drive from the water. Yuyuko gets it first. Note the symbol on her hat is a "cancel" symbol.

I think the HDD being in Yuyuko's hands means that it died. That tends to happen to computer parts when submerged in water.

Isn't this parody of that pond spirit folk tale? You know, the one where if you throw an old object in the pond a spirit comes up asks you what you dropped: the actual thing or a significantly better version. If you pick the original you get both, if you pick the new one you get neither.

I always loved that story. I dunno why, it just seems like a nice myth.
