I know it's not just me, but I've always imagined the doctor as a brown hair (with quite a few white or silver hairs), blue eyed man, though I can never decide if I like him with a short beard or clean shaven.
I just think it suits him well.

Google evil doctors and consider that those are just the famous ones who got caught. There's literally thousands to millions of people out there practicing medicine who don't know what they're doing and don't care because of the social clout and wealth the field of medicine brings them. ...So, out of 9 million of doctors you are cherry picking a specific example? And a pretty bad one at that. What you said is like saying everyone in the world is indirectly a murderer if you want to stretch out things this far.

No, the Wright brothers are totally indirectly responsible for the nuclear strike because they used planes to use the nukes! Do you realize how absurd that sounds?

And mentioning miss Marie. Since you mention that, you should know that this discovery has saved way more people than it has harmed over the world no? In fact, due to this knowledge, we have lowered the risk of cancer immensely, found ways to fight cancer better, use it to sterilize tools, use it for insanely large swaths of research and technology. Particle accelerators, diffractions, spectrometers and so on. If you want to blame her for the nukes, then you are going to give her the credit she deserves all the people her discovery has saved, technology invented and so on no?

Anyhow, in general, doctors want to help people. If they wanted to be mass murderers, there are better and smarter ways to do it than go through rigorous training for minimum of 7 years of higher education. Sure, you could argue some are in for the money, but again, 7 years minimum you wasted that you could have studied something else as there is no guarantee you will get a well paying job.
