To be fair, drawn depictions are the most ethical place to release one's imagination upon. I would go as far as to say it is the optimal outlet for various reasons.

Some Would say that anime, and Waifu based anime in particular are “ruining reality with their own imagination”

Most of the things you enjoy were fashioned by human hands, and their imaginations. I would also point out that humans aren’t “half animals” but full on animals.

Basically, what I’m saying is human imagination is one of the few things that actually matter in this life, and I would recommend either expanding your mind to manifestations of it that rub you the wrong way, or simply accepting they exist. Probably not healthy to have a negative view of it.
