This has got to be a trap. Either that food is laced with poison/sedative or maybe they're just trying to befriend her and backstab her later.

She is trying to finish before Yuyuko catches it's scent.

Actually it happened when I was at school trip. I'm telling ya', night raids, lack of food, low flying jets in the middle of the night, skunks, snow, no termal underwear or socks, freezing rain, jerks, punk-asses, bloody fights, trials, gunfire, etc. The majority of my class quit right off. I swear I could write book about all the stuff that went down on that island.
