Alright, I've finally known why did the artist drew this picture. The final episode of Uchuu Taitei God Sigma details the God Sigma getting retrofitted into a one-seater mecha as it is sent into the year 2300 in the future in order to fight for peace there.

Artist tagged it Hisoutensoku, so it's probably a reference to the titular mecha using a mecha they happen to like. God Sigma appears in post #565526 as well.
