I sometimes wonder if she actually likes the doctor without any ulterior motives
At least so far, all signs point to yes, her feelings are completely genuine. Her devotion only grows over time with every action the Doctor makes to help her, such as looking for her home village and making her feel more like a person and less like a slave-knight.
