Vector request on /w/.  Haven't vectored in months, but this was cute, so I decided to do it.  The ZIP file contains Transparent and Wallpaper versions, one with wings, and one without.

Lineart was fairly simple.  The ice wings were a little annoying since they were fairly rough, requiring more nodes than usual, but besides that, everything else was fine.  For the coloring, I left most of the coloring from the original since the art was fairly stylized, maybe darkening a couple places a little more from the original.  I also completed the background from the original and made a 16:9 wallpaper.  I also made wingless versions to make portrait wallpapers easier, and because she looks cute without them.

Not much else too this.  Took about 20 hours, so not bad.  I didn't feel rusty despite not opening Illustrator in months.

I think it should stay. Vector drawing is trickier than some people realize, and I certainly wouldn't call it an edit. Vectors and Rasters (the usual) are completely different. Edits can keep part of the image, but when vector tracing, you do actually have to draw everything yourself or the entire point of vectoring (infinite no-pixelation scalability) is lost.

I tend not to question flags when they're for subjective things like taste or art quality, but this is a case where the flagger is just objectively wrong. Derivative work and third-party edit have specific meanings on Danbooru, and vector traces fall firmly in the former group as they necessitate redrawing the entire image from a blank canvas. This post isn't breaking any of the upload rules, and if it did, then so would the other ~2000 posts with this tag.

The actual point of vectoring was to have non-blurry anime screencaps that could be used for wallpapers. That stopped being a thing when artists started uploading art at absurd resolutions and waifu2x started existing. Proof of that is how 95 of 100 pages of vector trace were uploaded >5 years ago.

Also, vector tracers almost never provide the source vector file so infinite scalability doesn't really mean anything.
