Not sure why you said "except" when that pool is also comedy. The thing on her hand is oripathy.

Take Amiya and replace her with a random bystander.
That's how far removed it is from her canon character. Amiya respects the Doctor and never been a clingy type, for him the Doctor (pre-amnesia) was something of a saviour figure that managed to stop her normally-already-past-fatal-stage Oripathy by crafting the limiter rings, and has high hopes for him to resolve the Oripathy once and for all. Amiya also fears the pre-amnesia Doctor for being ruthless and seeing Operators just as disposable pawns, traits that post-amnesia Doctor lost.
