Lack of body hair has been the standard of beauty in the west for millennia, get over it. It wasn't until the 20th century that there was a safe, painless, affordable body hair removal tool for women of all social classes. You could be working class, and still have the time and money for a safety razor, as opposed to the time-consuming plucking, which often neccesitated a second person.
Most people in the industrialized world view body hair as unattractive (I don't mind it), live with it.
A good portion of Europe still finds it a odd obsession. I'm mostly bothered by the double standard. Perhaps it's more accurate to say that I'm bothered by the idea that shaving creates femininity, especially in areas both genders grow hair.
