Onikakushi: his harem finds out his parents aren’t home and try very hard to invite themselves to his house to get mating pressed. He is so dense, and so paranoid that he takes their attempts to smash him, as to smash him literally. So he smashes them…literally and kills himself
Watanagashi/meakashi Probably what you were referring to. He dies because his harem protagonist powers go into overdrive, and he caught the wrong one
Tatarigoshi: not quite as pronounced, but Satoko trying to play his housewife is what gets Keiichi attached. It’s actually similar to watanagashi since he ends up inheriting some feelings from Satoshi
Rena’s chapter I forget the name: it actually saves him in the end. But feeling “betrayed” by Keiichi after his harem speech is one of the main things that drives her over the deep end
To be fair it’s also his greatest weapon. It’s a double edged sword, similar to Makoto. Except keiichi has SOME restraint, and doesn’t actually realize any of the girls are into him
