Do remember that human still managed to willingly kill innocent seal babies, one of (arguably) the cutest creatures on earth, without batting an eye.
Most young birds and mammals go through a stage where their skin or hair is exceptionally soft and so desirable for use as high end clothing. Nothing to do with cruelty.
