I'm having a hard time understanding the need to farm 1-7. maybe because I have 33 Orirock Cube. can anyone explain to me why farming in 107 is so popular? or I just so happen to don't need as many Orirock cube?

Lots of operators need orirock materials, including many of the best ones, and they usually need a lot more of them than other materials. 1-7 is the most efficient place to farm regardless of what tier of orirock you need. Orirock cubes are also needed to make orundum in the factory, but most people don't recommend doing that unless you're extreme end game with nothing else to spend LMD on.

It should also be noted that mostly all events don't actually have as great of a rate as 1-7. It may be possible when the event store has everything but once you get down to 1 event currency/10 or 20 LMD, it's better to farm at 1-7. I think Texas Alter's event in global will change that since you can get 2 T3 Orirock but it's rare and always better to farm other mats instead in every event.

The real thing you need is not the Cube, at least not directly. It's the Cluster. 33 Cubes only converts into like 6 Clusters. Take a look at material requirements for RMA70-24 and Optimized Device, for example; making just one of each requires two Clusters already (or equivalent to 10 Cubes). With 6-stars often wanting 4 or 6 D32 Steels or Bipolar Nanoflakes in order to ascend into Elite 2, Mastery 3 skills, and unlocking Modules, you'll quickly realize that a lot of operators need lots of Clusters.
Personally, I prefer to directly farm Clusters on 10-6; of course, in terms of strict in-game sanity efficiency, nothing else is gonna trump 1-7, but the Clusters' drop rate on 10-6 is pretty satisfactory, and most importantly, it saves my IRL sanity from not having to loop 1-7 hundreds of times.
You don't even need to bring Blaze. 1-7 is easy enough that you can bring almost any mix of 12 trust farm characters and still beat the map. I'm certain the 7 trust farmers depicted here could beat 1-7, even if they're all E0L1.
Ever since the two or three updates to the resource system,along with changes to the auto deployment,1-7 has long since dropped from its' ability to be the perfect rock farm.
