*fixes translation* If you're going to add a translation, actually TRANSLATE it rather than writing the Japanese in romanji... DUH! If all you're going to do is add romanji without translating it to English don't even bother.

Due to it being an onomatopoeia... there wouldn't be a "translation" in a sense, it is just a familiar sound.

Gonna have to agree here. Anyone coming to this site should already know japanese Onomatopoeia's like "Nyan" "Wan" "Gero" "doki-doki" and such.

Because God knows those are such essentially Japanese concepts that putting them into English would be a Herculean task.

Not necessarily Herculean, but certainly Sisyphean. I mean, translating the endless amounts of images with theses onomatopoeias into English equivalent can be annoying.
(I realize many different people add these, but it's beside the point) And if anyone doesn't know the basic onomatopoeias, they can just look them up.
