    Because money always end up replacing passion. Same cuckoldry happened with old games, when scammers began to speculate on them : whenever scammers realize you can make money out of something, they will ruin it out of greed while pretending they have a moral high ground.

    And then proceeded to, without warning, introduce censorship no one asked for, in the most slapdash, half-assed way possible, even removing/editing content people paid extra money for, including concept art in the art book, all while silencing all criticism and insulting the fans who funded the game in the first place.

    I dunno the full story on Skullgirls' internal politics, but the current dev team isn't exactly doing a whole lot to build a good reputation.
