Hey, France's dub still had an epic theme song for their dub, which was unheard of for a dub to have a good theme at the time (aside from Power Rangers, obviously).

Indeed, the theme song was good. But the dialogue... To put it simply, the dubbing team couldn't take the story seriously, for whatever reason, and thus voices are forced to the point of parody and horrible puns were the norm.
