I personally don't really believe the artist, they've been only posting 3d models on their pixiv before the AI art boom. I think that the AI did way more than just colouring and lighting, although I don't doubt that some of the work has been done by them. Either way it's a guessing game and in the end it doesn't matter what's true or not. The fact that AI art has made us (or me personally) doubt people, is absolutely wild and I hate it. I wish it was never a thing
