Seems the premise is in seeing if a superior product can be produced through educating nikkes with more than a boot camp. Despite the surface level similarity to a normal school, in the end it's probably as cruel as you could expect from their universe.

Personally, the Nier event was such a poor man's Yoko Taro story that I didn't really feel much for it. This one as well is kinda half-assed because it doesn't really logically make sense nor does it benefit the Ark in anyway whatsoever. Feels like an event that's just dark for the sake of being dark.

Pilgrim also more advanced than any other company since they're built from old lost tech or had Queen interfere or modified them like Nihilster.
