Get over yourself. Kancolle is a franchise built around history. It's perfectly reasonable to discuss the less pleasant aspects of that history.
It seems like you said kinda the equivalent of "violence in videogames cause people to turn violent", if you wanted to discuss Tone's history you could have been more straight forward imo.
But true to be told KC(and probably VB) is probably the only fandom where you can discuss these historical topics and with people that care about them, i tried with AL and only found people gaslighting each other or horny & meme spamming to overshadow said topics, classic faction war as always sadly.
Speaking of Tone's history, If I remember her captain was christian, if thats true then is also an interesting fact considering the circunstances of what happened aboard of her. So i kinda wonder if Tone consider herself christian.

I see your point here, yes KC fanbase is pretty open about each service records of the girls but there are always time and place for such grim information and an image of a cute tiny Tone eating an onigiri is not the place for that. This is like discussing your uncle's drug addiction during a thanks giving dinner.
If you are itching for such discussion you should do it on places like this.
