Bren is from the ZB series in fact. Bren is ZB-30, ZB-33, and forth. It's not exactly the same weapon but the more exact fact is that Bren is ZB-33 with some minor changes

To be absolutely exact: Bren is based on the ZB-26 platform. You can't say "ZB" platform, it's a common mistake similar to the "VZ" thing. VZ means "vzor" (type), ZB means "Zbrojovka Brno" (Arms factory Brno). That would be like saying something is "panzer", "Colt" or "Mk." platform. The ZGB-33 variant was the final version designed directly for the British in .303, after some fine-tuning to fit the different cartridge. There is no further difference between ZGB-33 and Bren.
