I want to draw Kasen fucking pissed.
Truth be told, the inspiration was very simple.It took a while for the story to reach its final shape, though.
Even after deciding that Kasen would be mad about one of her animals being harmed, I had trouble imagining Yuugi doing such a thing.AfterwordYou could probably tell from reading it, but this has been a battle manga!
And exclusively physical combat at that. A kind of book I haven't really drawn in the past.Yuugi was chosen as the opponent from the get go.
Even WaHH already had some hint of their connection, after all.I figured it was easy to bring them together.As for the reason Koutei was fine, my original thought was simply "A dragon isn't a normal animal anyway, so it wouldn't die just from drowning in sake"...
but it felt kind of unconvincing, especially Yuugi knowing about it.
Trying to think of a better excuse, I realized I could add Suika to the equation.Solved!
