More seriously, mecha as mobility assistance instead of warmachine is such a neat idea. Never occurred to me before even though it should be obvious.
There's a line of mecha model kits from Hasegawa called Mechatro WeGo, whose whole theme is "cute, helpful mecha as single-seat children's transports." The boxes even feature art from Nichijou's mangaka showing the kids playing with their mecha.
