- he can be sweet and endearing but because of his RBF and dry, straightforward delivery when he (rarely) speaks, most people see him as mean

- he's wise beyond his years and is often the one people come to for advice
- as a Scotsman, he quietly prides himself on his ability to hold his liquor. it takes a LOT for him to get drunk (partly due to his large build)

the more he drinks, the more his old personality comes out; he gets louder, rowdier, more touchy-feely (in a lewd way), and more foul mouthed. it's believed that Nizhoni got her potty mouth from being around him
- he's generally quite lazy at home, and lets Jacob take care of everything
