This does kind of raise the question as to what would happen if the girl about to be known as Iowa touches a "piece" of the USS Iowa.
That's why in my headcanon, museum ships like Iowa were also destroyed by the initial Abyssal attacks, allowing them to either be summoned, or be incarnated as Shipgirls.
