Laziness. I made my pokemon train until they reached their first evolution BEFORE I faced Brock in Pewter City.

i remember... having a pokemon poisoned... on pokemon red... trying to reach the pokemon center... and not reaching by like 10 steps... saddest day of my life, had to do all the cavern again. Going out of this cavern and dying that way...

honestly, bro...if your strongest (Squirtle) is only level 12, you probably would've bitten it anyways. I mean, if his Growlithe is level 25, what level would his Ivysaur be?
