With designs like this why does it have to be a "Touhou Fangame", why not just make an "original" work? I think this has much more potential for just a "fangame".
Because if Pixiv teaches us anything, it's that people like to relate things to popular stuff to better advertise. Why else would artists draw a gorgeous landscape and put a tiny Marisa flying through the sky? Because a Touhou relation guarantees hits.
I love Touhou, but I find such things disgusting. These designs are more than good enough to be standalone.
