One who possesses power stemming from one of the natural elements such as water, earth, fire, air, and even lightning, is called blessed, a term used by ancient peoples, but the most well-known way is Herald, because literally the power to manipulate an element could only be a divine gift or a blessing! It is not possible for two Heralds of the same element to exist; only one can bear the blessing. Fire will always be fire, no matter how it is wielded; only one has the blessing to bend it. A person cannot learn to use a blessing, nor can they force it into their body; they must be chosen. A mystery lies in blessings stemming from the same element.

Does the existence of an ice blessing contradict the water blessing? Yes and no. Although both stem from the water element, they are still natural elements and can be found in nature. Could the Water Herald use some artifice to freeze his power, but could he control the ice? The answer is no; this applies to each of the blessings.

Another mystery lies in the origin of the blessings. Some say they were given to humans as a gift from God, but no one can prove it.
