Yes, Yukari sits on Moscow's side of globe (offtop: actually, two years ago Moscow was expanded in such manner like someone sat on it XD ),
but, if you take a look on Earth (outside the illuminator, not the globe), you'll see, that "sunrise" looks like a H-bomb flash in Azerbaijan rather that actual curve of rising sun. That's the point.

Except the globe is inaccurate (most notably, some countries are coloured as "sea"). And the planet behind Yukari confuses me even more. There is no perspective that would show the italian peninsula this way. It's like surface of the Earth was turned inside out then put back on the globe. Well, something She could definitely do.
