I don't know, I rather liked QVB. It's a hard thing to do, to make an original character fit into a touhou story, let alone a male one. But I think the author did very well in making him fit, not too overpowered, but enough to be a threat. He's also distinct and memorable. And redeemed! I hope he gets a date with Byakuren.
