Anyway, you can't "become a state" and "do" in present sounds like Shinki asks because she wants to transform too.

Ah so that explains the change between young and um still young but a tiny bit older Alice in that short time. I actually thought that a character might've actually ageded with the timeline but we know no1 ages in fictonal worlds.

I always found fascinating (in a dark and eerie way) the idea that "The original Reimu, Marisa, and Alice were all killed shortly after Mystic Square."
But this is explanation of Alice change is nice too.

Well, yes, but it still belongs to the phantasmal world, like a extension of Gensokyo, just like the Netherworld is.
Both of these "extensions" won't be able to exist on the real plane since in the real world people die when they are killed....just kidding.

This is probably why Alice left Makai: Lack of raging lesbians.
Seems like Shinki needs rewrite some laws if she wants her daughter to come back home.
