What starter from the other regions he could pick?

The starters in Hoenn are so awesome that all of them match Kamina. But the best would be Grovyle or Blaziken.

For Sinnoh, definitely Infernape.

Mijumaru would be his gen5.
It's basically the Pokemon form of Simon.
It'll start out sorta derpy and/or pathetic, but then evolve into badass whenever Kamina gives one of his speeches.
