The outfit was drawn casually, and I don't have any professional knowledge. Any similarities are purely coincidental. I just wanted to see Teacher Ye wear something different. I wanted to draw a Zanhua headdress at first, but I thought it would look better if I changed it to a Dan headdress! The main reference is the costumes in the Peking Opera Farewell My Concubine.
Translation note: 1) The term 簪花 (Zān huā) specifically refers to a local Chinese flower headdress. 2) The artist only said "Dan", but the term actually means a Peking Opera role, so I added "headdress" to make more sense
