Zelda
Well, ladies and gentleman, I've done it. After what has undoubtedly become my most involved work to date, I bring you Zelda from Tears of the Kingdom.
This one was a doozy, folks. Beginning as a cursory glance between Link and Riju, I shifted to Zelda after realizing how close in likeness Riju was to Shantae, the subject of a previous work. Selecting Link's house as the setting was strangely unintuitive; it wouldn't come until well after trekking across most of Hyrule. Then, after posing Link on the edge of his bed, I discovered his legs wouldn't naturally reach the floor, forcing me to scrap the perspective, and with it, a ton of work. Only after a two month hiatus would I brave another shot.
As the most ambitious and protracted work of mine to date, I'm both relieved and surprised to be writing this. The Legend of Zelda is one of the most revered video game series in history, and I knew attempting a work of its pedigree would demand the most uncompromising attention to detail possible. Through some of the most frustrating sessions of my creative life, I believe I've achieved what the best of my ability permits. It's been one hell of a ride.
So, what's next? Purah is definitely on my list, but not until next year likely. In the meantime, I've begun preliminary work on a piece with Sena Kashiwazaki from Haganai, and another loli and shota. Check my X for updates and WIPs!
