If so, then it's no worse than that suffered by Delores Bader. (Douglas Bader. RAF double ampute in the '30's. Petitioned for and received permision to remain in the RAF after demonstrating he was still capable of flying.)

That looks like a P-38J Lightning Striker Unit to me.

The strikers have pocket dimension generators which means their legs are not exactly in the striker since they need space for the engine so Dominica's striker can be like that
