It's been something like 20 years since I played FF8, and if ever an artist I follow posts some fanart, I'm just so tickled. There doesn't seem to be a lot of fanart for FF8, and the game gets a lot of flack (if you're a fan, you know the tired criticisms), but damned if it isn't my favorite JRPG and always will be. So it occurred to me, that while I'm always somewhere in my heart waiting for new fanart to pop up, I've been practicing my whole life and what the hell -- I HAVE THE POWER. I will do it myself.
I don't do a lot of multiple characters interacting in my drawings, so this exercise was a good excuse to practice some such posing. I tried to stay really quick with these, but I couldn't help fleshing out just one after the style of Testuya Nomura as a little homage to his influence on my formative years. I can't express how fun it was to do.
