So, yeah, that was in my mind when I posted that. Personally I think the entire skit was making fun of people who claim to be gay because they want to be trendy, rather than that they actually conform to the homosexual issues (ie. the person may just be bisexual), or perhaps how some gays, now that their lifestyle is considered acceptable by the majority, feel obligated to rub their lifestyle in the face of others.
Meh...I'm over-analyzing stuff again. Anyway, the point being, the entire homosexual thing was just more of a jab at how some people will take anything risque/trendy, and use the bad press as a way to become more popular. Think of the Dixie Chicks who bad mouthed America while off in Europe; sure they looked like traitors to their own country, but don't you think all that negative press attention was essentially free publicity, and caused more than a few extra sells of their albums by the curious? Anyway all that's more than enough political critique for one tonight.
