Is Garnet actually taller than him? As much as I've played FFIX I've never noticed yes or no.
I thought Zidane was supposed to be a bit short, but he's actually 173 cm according to official sources. And Garnet is 164 cm, so she's definitely not taller. Their heights are listed in this concept art (asset #24798947).
Then again, it seems this is Dissidia's Zidane according to the commentary (albeit using Google Translate), and I don't know much about the spinoff, but a quick Google search shows people talking about him appearing shorter than his official height in NT.
