I don't think I'd be brave enough to let a razor near my genitals, even it's a safety razor.
I find as a girl the distance between the genitals and the hairy areas is far enough for me not to be too worried. Shaving testicles sounds horrifying though.

In my experience, I just tend to trim it with a trimmer and pluck it. Much easier and longer lasting (it does take a lot of time though fortunately, I don't grow a lot on them). That said, if you're somebody with testicles, it's best to apply light pressure and shave in the direction of the hair growth while using the other hand to pull the taut.
