Dorami (Industraial Design Version) Front View and Hopter Expanded
This is a set of fan art of Dorami from Doraemon. I redesigned Dorami using my typical style and a more industrial design oriented idea. The objective was to make her look more reasonable as a robot, while not overwhelmed with excessive detail. I also made her taller with slimer body and longer limbs. Her new costume retains more maid elements.
I drew Dorami because I ran into some clips of her online, and I really like her as a character. I thought Dorami to be a universally loved character across the world, so I originally wrote the descriptions in Chinese, Japanese, and English together. It turned out only the Chinese community really cared about her. I later created a Chinese only version with larger letters and more fitting fonts. And later when I was building my new website, I translated the Chinese version to English.
