It's in-universe (generalization) thing about of elves being elves regardless of setting, their "high on the moral compass" attidute regardless if he/she is a good person or not

Sorry, I've only read Tolkien stuff so I'm not familiar with the generalization of these other settings.
Oh, so you've read the ur-example of stuck-up holier-than-thou elves which all other modern depictions ape, that's good.
The asshole/stuck-up elf cliche is not from Tolkien IMO. Tolkien's elves do not act like the textbook stuck-up depictions a la Warhammer's High Elves/Eldar or TES Altmer/Dunmer.

The later examples are very much plays on Tolkien's elves and their haughty attitude. They are indeed the ur-example.
Tolkien-style elves are almost always highbrow types. And, well, almost all elves from other settings are an ape on Tolkien-style elves.

Ok sure, but just because they are this 'ur-example' does not mean that the Elves = Assholes trope must be immediately obvious to those that have only read Tolkien's works. Tolkien's elves are at times haughty, greedy, mysterious, gregarious, wise, among other things. And one can just as easily come up with the Elves = Mysterious Wise Folk mental image and be confused about other views more informed by series like TES and Warhammer. Which is the case with Black Gold Saw as this comment section shows.
