A car parked in a prohibited space can be corrected by simply moving it elsewhere. Damaging the vehicle, or attacking its owner, would both be disproportionate and illegal, because those harms would remain even after the vehicle was no longer illegally parked. People who advocate or support such violence just want excuses to hurt other people so they can act like assholes without being called out as assholes.
