It would require them to actually paint more than 5 cels of animation per battle! Since they produce the Pokemon anime as cheaply as possible these days, most battles just comprise of Pokemon striking action poses with backgrounds full of motion lines.

Dare i say, theres more action in this GIF then say, the last 5 seasons of Pokemon.(begining season was actually pretty good).

It's very good, but I feel it as a little bit too violent. I love Porygon by the way.
