Wanted to save it just for the over-the-top factor alone. It reminded me of the better times of Ubisoft with releases like Far Cry Blooddragon.

Touting it as historically accurate, something they never did for previous entries, really didn't do them any favors, especially once everyone figured out the source for Yasuke's "history" was some white dude that tried to pass his fantasy story as historical fact.

Yasuke was a real person though, and loosely is a samurai- or at the very least a high ranking servant synonymous to a samurai. A lot of the drama is rooted in inherently anti-Black racism. This wasn't an issue when Afro Samurai came out, or Nioh, or Yasuke on Netflix, or Samurai Champloo... So there shouldn't be one now. It's historical fiction, don't let one or two entries from some random doofus in 2017-2019 ruin it for everyone else.
