I can't read a word Japanese, but IE doesn't seem to eat the kanji. Looks like the site is using some form of coding that firefox can't read. Here's the text:

Karlsland's strongest Night Witch. The only reason her kill count had yet to reach 100 by the end of 1944 was due to taking part only in night-time air combat missions.
In addition to her Night Witch Radar techniques, she also posses powerful night vision magic which allows her to see clearly in a little as ambient starlight.
Due to her initial inability to control her talents, she was forced to stay indoors in dim light at all times as a child. Brought into the Witches training organization at the age of 10, her talents quickly blossomed as she learned to better control her powers.
While her nightvision talent is no longer uncontrolled, the early damage to her optic nerves could not be repaired even with magic, requiring her to use very strong glasses most of the time.
Perhaps due to her childhood, she longs for friends of the same age, a trait not normally associated with the often solitary Night Witches.

romanization makes it "Haidi" but it's pronounced the same way as "Heidi". And the direct translation would be into "Heidi" since fewer Germans have the name "Haidi" than the name "Heidi"
