SanaeWife has always struck me as an artist torn by the appeal of drawing and getting your name out and personal privacy. Personally, I think it adds to her sense of "mystique" if she's a little reluctant to be public like her Kogasauthor.

She draws doujinshi, married an H-doujin artist and pals around with his pervy friends. I don't think the 'nature of the fanbase' is the reason for her reticence; she even shows up to conventions and cosplays. Sanaewife simply seems to not be keen on becoming a public personality.
There's also a cultural thing e.g. Japanese streamers (particularly pre-vtubing) would often wear facemasks while on camera, even as they were part of the small % of the population trying to become minorly e-famous; how much more so for someone who has no interest in being a streamer/e-famous.
