This is the cover art for Savant and Sorceror, a book for the Exalted tabletop RPG by White Wolf games. It's not very popular with Exalted players; the look clashes with the rest of the art in the game. Also, it's stupid.
I mean, look at the proportions on that girl, she's ridiculous. And the forced perspective's atrocious. And I *like* Hyung Tae Kim's stuff. I've nicknamed my copy the 'Cameltoe book'.
I don't think the look is two out of keeping with the visual style of Exalted. It's pretty well established that there's a lot of decadent stuff going on in the Empire, which is the world's cultural hub. Exalted itself is about things being completely over the top. So wacky clothes and strange perspectives and a sorceress in lingerie isn't that bad.
I agree that this isn't too out-there for the way the world is portrayed. Afterall, if she were akuma, it'd be nipple piercings for everyone! And that's why I want the Yozis to win. Free piercings :D
