I don't think it's right to tag Vinesauce here. While Mike is affiliated in a way (Red Vox, collaborations with Vinny, Joel, Limes & Rev), Mike isn't in team Vinesauce, he isn't on Vinesauce.com and he doesn't have mushroom logo too. Feel free to correct me if there's something vinesauce-related on the pic that I didn't see.

But is he really a vtuber now? Its been years but I've mostly seen facecam streams from him.

He's cumtuber. He streams with camera (most of the time, plus outdoors), without facecam (old streams, some games), and with his vtuber avatar (collaborations with vtubers mostly). Since it's his newest vtuber avatar on the art, it should be tagged as a virtual_youtuber 100%. Indie virtual youtuber is a broad copyright tag, just like real_life and indie_utaite, and I don't see a restriction under the tag for "fleshtubers which use vtuber avatar once in a while when they want to".
