Just fan art based on the light novel character designs. I flipped through the first few books (haven't read them yet), and while I wasn't able to find an illustration of Schnitzer, the others look pretty accurate. Incidentally, some character designs were changed even more than these (Kenjou Kurihara looks completely different).
