Actually, that's what most spiders do: liquefy the prey's internal organs and then suck them out. In case you needed a reason to find arachnids even more horrific, there you go.

Personally, reading about the visual novel that inspired this picture makes me wish I could read Japanese. I can't really turn down something with that weird a main character.

You might be able to get a group to translate it. I know it's been done with Saya no Uta and Fate/Stay Night, so this shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Funny, long ago I tried to do that. Didn't work out too well. I still have the game if anybody wants to take a crack at it.

Come to think of it, isn't atlach-nacha from the Cthulu mythos? What with demonbane being released in english recently, it got me wondering.
