This is from the time I settled on my own demon design style. According to legend, what Sukuna-Hikona wears around his body are the wings of a wren or a moth’s skin, but that’s based on what the Japanese back then believed. The original traditional god design was arbitrarily commented on and starting from that idea I ended up having fun trying to figure out what it was actually supposed to look like.
