Too be fair the technology of the Pokemon universe in canon is all over the place. Some cities are so futuristic that they have autonomous drones running things while others barely look over the 20th century.

Technological advancement doesn't mean the whole world's nations would enjoy same standards of available tech. Just like IRL, you can compare Japan with their robot waitresses and any 3rd world country that still uses manual server. But in other hand, pretty much everybody now owns a smartphone.

Yeah, but the disparity seems to be even greater here. Some places seem to be downright medieval based on the entries, relying on adventurer guilds to solve problems ala Goblin Slayer (I.E., Beedrill entry), while others have running electricity which would imply at least late 19th/ early 20th century (I.E., Pikachu entry). Then magic throws a giant wrench into all of it, because if they have magitek they don't technically need electricity to have comparable levels of tech...
